Cliff was an outstanding goal-scoring winger who played in one the greatest teams the UK has ever seen. When Tottenham won the Double in 1960-61, he starred alongside legends like Danny Blanchflower, Dave Mackay and John White, in a side that is remembered to this day for the skilful way they played the beautiful game. Cliff started his career at his local club, Swansea Town, before joining Spurs in 1958 for 10 wonderful years, which saw him win the First Division championship, three FA Cups and the European Cup Winners’ Cup. Cliff also won 59 caps for Wales and scored over 200 goals in a playing career lasting 25 years. He has great memories of his playing days and has entertained audiences all over the UK with his excellent after dinner speeches. Cliff also enjoys meeting the public at Spurs home games as part of the club’s hospitality team.
